Welcome to Mandarin Together, Fun family. Why do we name our school Mandarin Together, Fun? We believe when family and friends come together to learn a language or culture, the result will be more fruitful and the process will be more fun. We are different from other schools; we offer parents an opportunity to learn a new language and culture together with their children in some of our classes. We share with you and your children the Mandarin language and Chinese culture in a happy learning environment.

 

Our founder, teachers and staff members are native Mandarin speakers who enjoy working with children. Our programs are solely designed for Mandarin Together, Fun by a team of native Mandarin speakers and experience teachers. These individuals include our veteran Chinese school teachers with teaching degree from teachers university from China, our founder who was a Mandarin storytelling, speech and debate champion throughout her academic career, a well-known artist and an advisor.

 

We live in a diverse country, learning a language poses a great challenge for both children and adults alike. With that in mind, MTF carefully designs our curriculum to better fit our students. For toddlers to 7 years old, the classes are designed for children with different backgrounds and Mandarin levels. Children ages 7 and older will choose between Chinese as a Heritage Language - CHL and Chinese as a Second Language - CSL. CHL better suit students who have a Chinese speaking environment at home and CSL is for students who do not have one. Please visit our Class Descriptions for more details. Adults classes are divided into Beginners and Intermediate classes.

 

While fostering a fun and interactive learning environment, our focus is to have our students enjoy using Mandarin in a natural way. We are not a school of doing all, we are a school of teaching Mandarin and Chinese Culture only. We concentrate on doing one thing and doing it the best way we can.

 

We emphasize on results and fun learning environment. Our class size is small.

Mandarin Together Fun is an excellent place for my daughter to start learning about the Chinese culture and language.  She looks forward to going to class -- it is like a big playdate!  She learns to speak Mandarin phrases (with no pressure!), sings Chinese songs, make friends, and learn through role play.  The classes are well thought out and lightly structured.  It is such a fun place for her to spend the afternoons.

I like how the class emphasizes not only on Chinese language but also cultural aspects such as family members, proper salutations, etc. The constant interactions and encouragement between the teacher and students are also very helpful. Chinese New Year Celebration

Great News!!! In order to accommodate the requests of the families we are adding a new location this Fall at 601 Park Avenue, Hoboken. The new location is conveniently located for Hoboken, Jersey City and their surrounding areas in New Jersey and New York. Here are some of the classrooms pictures. A) 3 years old girl from a non-Chinese, non-Mandarin speaking family. The family exposure to Mandarin was at Mandarin Together, Fun. During her first semester (10 classes) in our Tiny Seeds class, she was able to sing eight Chinese songs, speak Mandarin and always asked, “How do you say (English word) in Mandarin?” Click here for the video.

C) 2.5 years old girl from a non-Chinese, non-Mandarin speaking family. The family first time exposed to Mandarin was at Mandarin Together, Fun. Click here for the video.

D) Three sisters ages 7, 9 and 10 from one of our private classes enjoy their learning very much. They come from a family speaking mainly Chinese dialect. After taking a few lessons from Mandarin Together, Fun Happy Pandas and the dedication from the students themselves, they are now speaking Mandarin and are able to write short essays on their own. Our school philosophy:

The class must be fun.

The learning materials must be age and level appropriate.

Teachers are there to work with the students, not to instruct them.

Results will come once the students are interested in the course.
